Senior Editor: Sophie Robitaille
Sophie is in her fourth-year of completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, with a minor in English. Her main interests in history are the World Wars and the influence of the Ancient World on our world today. She is especially interested in Ancient Greece, Rome, and Egypt, as well as their accompanying mythologies. After completing her undergraduate degree, Sophie plans on pursuing postgraduate studies. She hopes to one day become a secondary school social studies teacher and share her love and knowledge on the subjects. Sophie loves being active, reading, writing, and listening to music outside of school.
Senior Editor: Maryam Khan
Maryam is in her fourth-year of working towards a dual Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science, with a second major in International Relations. She is interested primarily in 20th century diplomatic history, especially during the Cold War era. After completing her undergraduate studies, Maryam plans on pursuing a master’s in international relations or diplomacy. In her spare time, she enjoys various crafts, reading, and exploring new places.
Associate Editor: Marcus Vermilya-Mayer
Marcus is a fourth-year History Major with a minor in Anthropology. His academic interests include 20th-century Canadian social politics, Meji Era Japan, and the criminal court system of early-modern England. In Fall 2025, he will begin the Honours program, conducting research on gender and peer surveillance in post-war Canada. After completing his undergraduate degree, Marcus plans to pursue postgraduate studies with the aim of becoming a history professor. He is passionate about mentoring aspiring historians and showing students how historical methodologies can be applied to nearly any pursuit, academic or not. Outside the classroom, Marcus is an illustrator and chainmaille artist who also enjoys video games, cosplay, and sports.
Associate Editor: Maggie Ayriss
Maggie is a first-year graduate student pursuing a Master’s in Community Health Sciences. Maggie currently holds BAs in History and Communications and Media Studies. She is committed to a transdisciplinary research approach where she utilizes her history and communications background to complete health humanities research that focuses on fundamental changes to Canada’s health system. Maggie hopes to continue to pursue higher academics and would like a career in health policy. Outside of academics, Maggie enjoys gardening, spending time with her dog and cats, and photography.
Associate Editor: Thomas Mastin
Thomas is a third-year student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in History and a minor in Greek and Roman Studies. He is primarily interested in the early and late European modern period, specifically military history covering Pike-and-shot, linear warfare, and the long nineteenth-century. After his undergraduate degree, he hopes to pursue a career that will allow him to learn as much history as possible and write whatever comes to mind. When not in school, Thomas’ hobbies range from reading and writing, to playing ice hockey and daydreaming.
Associate Editor: Dania Samih
Dania is in her fourth year of completing a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in History. After finishing her undergraduate degree, Dania hopes to go on to graduate studies so she can continue to develop her thesis and conduct research. Outside of school, Dania enjoys artistic projects, watching films, and staying active.
Associate Editor: Bea Marie Bello
Bea is in her third-year of study pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, alongside a minor in Greek and Roman Studies. Bea is interested in all kinds of history and how it intertwines with pop culture. She hopes to share such knowledge through writing and education. In her free time, Bea likes crafting, reading books, and listening to music.
